Lynch is going to pose matchup problems for the Blackbirds. He is a big boy at 6’10” and 257 lbs. He transferred from Illinois State and is in his first season at Minnesota. He is second on the team in rebounding (7.0 rpg) and fifth on the team in scoring (9.4 ppg). He is coming off a double-double in which he finished with a season-high 18 points against Northern Illinois to go along with 11 rebounds. Lynch has started nine of the ten games played this season. He also currently ranks sixth in the nation in blocks at 6.8 blocks per game.

LIU Brooklyn is coming off their biggest win of the season thus far in defeating in-city rival St. John’s 74-73 at the Barclays Center on Sunday. It was the first time in their last six meetings the Blackbirds defeated the Red Storm. Their last win over St. John’s was back on November 23, 1996, when LIU beat St. John’s 76-73 at Carnesecca Arena.
