On Sunday, we got word that Jamal Olasewere was heading to the 2015 FIBA African Championships in Tunisia as part of the Nigerian senior national team. On Monday, it was announced that junior forward Glenn Feidanga has been selected onto the final roster for the Central African Republic who are also competing at the 2015 FIBA Afrobasket which starts on Wednesday.

Feidanga played in seventeen games last season after missing the first nine games due to an ankle injury. He went on to average 4.1 points and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 40% from the field. In 46 career games in his first two seasons at LIU Brooklyn, Feidanga is averaging 4.1 points and 3.7 rebounds while shooting 42.3% from the floor.

Feidanga is making his international debut with this selection.

Ironically, Feidanga and Olasewere will square off in the opening game of Group A play at the 2015 FIBA Afrobasket as Central African Republic will face Nigeria on Wednesday which is schedule to tip-off around 10am eastern time. Central African Republic also will face host Tunisia on Friday and Uganda on Sunday.

A reminder that all of the 2015 FIBA Afrobasket can be seen online on www.livebasketball.tv (pay subscription). I will posting Feidanga’s as well as Olasewere’s stats after each game on my Twitter feed (@NelCastBHJ).

Congratulations to Glenn on his selection and we look forward to watching him play in this week.
