Before the start of the Temple-LIU Brooklyn game on Saturday night at the Barclays Center, senior point guard Jason Brickman was honored at mid-court and presented with a ball in honor of him breaking the 25-year old Northeast Conference career assist record of 804 assists back on December 12th.

LIU Brooklyn head coach Jack Perri, NEC Commissioner Noreen Morris and LIU Brooklyn Athletic Director John Suarez presented Brickman with the honorary ball.

Brickman currently has 826 assists and needs another 174 assists to become just the 4th player in NCAA Division I history to reach 1000 career assists. He is now in the top 25 on the all-time NCAA Division I career assist list.

Brickman and the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds return to action on Saturday, December 28th at Sam Houston State.
