After what has been a pretty quiet and steady off-season thus far for the LIU Brooklyn men’s basketball team, today we learned that a member of the coaching staff is heading elsewhere. Josh Pelletier, who was the Director of Basketball Operations on Jack Perri’s staff this past season, is leaving LIU to join former LIU Brooklyn head coach Jim Ferry’s staff at Duquesne next season as Director of Administration.
Pelletier joined Jack Perri’s coaching staff last August as his final coaching staff hire. He leaves after helping the Blackbirds win their third of three straight Northeast Conference tournament championships.
Pelletier now becomes the fourth coaching staff member in two years to leave the LIU Brooklyn men’s basketball program for Duquesne who play in the Atlantic 10 conference. He joins Ferry, assistant coach Rich Glesmann, and director of basketball operations Danny Lawson who all left LIU Brooklyn last April after Ferry was named the head men’s basketball coach at Duquesne.
We wish Coach Pelletier good luck in his new job at Duquesne.
