LIU Brooklyn MBB adds Temple to their ’13-14 non-conference schedule

On Wednesday morning, College Basketball Insider Jon Rothstein tweeted out the following:

This tripleheader is likely the Brooklyn Hoops Holiday Invitational which LIU Brooklyn was a part of last season when they played Seton Hall. This would be the first confirmed game at the Barclays Center for LIU for the upcoming 2013-14 season.

So here is the list of non-conference opponents for LIU Brooklyn for next season:

Lamar (H)
Temple (H-Barclays Center)
St. Peter’s (H)
Manhattan (A) (?)

(H) – Home game
(A) – Away game
(?) –  Rumored, not confirmed

Also in a NEC news today, Jon Rothstein also tweeted that Robert Morris redshirt-junior guard Coron Williams is transferring from RMU and heading to Wake Forest to play his senior year. According to Rothstein’s tweet, Williams has graduated from RMU and thus will be immediately eligible to play at Wake Forest next season. Williams started 34 of RMU 35 games and he averaged 9.1 ppg last season and shot 42.4% from the field and 41.8% from three.   It is a blow to RMU but they still have plenty of good players returning in Lucky Jones, Karvel Anderson, Mike McFadden, Anthony Myers-Pate, and Lijah Thompson who returning from his season-long injury.
